Description
Texas Roadhouse butter chicken skillet is an easy and delicious dinner made with juicy chicken, rich buttery garlic sauce, and bold savory flavors cooked in one pan.
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
4. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits from the pan.
6. Stir in heavy cream, honey, Dijon mustard, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper.
7. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
8. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
9. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness if preferred.
Do not overcook the chicken to keep it tender.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a brighter flavor.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
