This Spekulatius Dessert Creme is a cozy, no-bake layered treat made with spiced Spekulatius cookies, whipped cream, mascarpone, and a hint of vanilla. Perfect for Christmas or winter celebrations—sweet, creamy, and full of holiday flavor.
Ingredients
**Base Layer:**
150g Spekulatius cookies (about 5.3 oz), crushed
**Cream Layer:**
250g mascarpone (about 1 cup)
200ml heavy cream (about 3/4 cup + 1 tbsp)
2 tablespoons powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
**Optional Toppings:**
Crushed Spekulatius for garnish
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg
Shaved chocolate or caramel drizzle
Instructions
1. Crush Spekulatius cookies finely using a food processor or rolling pin. Set aside.
2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
3. In another bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Fold whipped cream gently into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
5. Layer dessert into small glasses or jars: start with crushed cookies, then cream, and repeat.
6. Top with crushed cookies and a sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate if desired.
7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
