Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl cream together butter and cream cheese until smooth.
3. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
5. In another bowl whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.
6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
7. Fold in chocolate chips.
8. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheet using a cookie scoop.
9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a rack.
11. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Do not overbake to keep cookies soft and chewy.
Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
Use mini chocolate chips for better distribution.
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
