Description

This Delicious Shrimp Orzo in Lemon Garlic Sauce Recipe is light, buttery, and packed with flavor. Juicy shrimp, tender orzo, and a bright lemon-garlic sauce come together in one pan for an easy, quick, and flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

**For the Shrimp:**

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste

**For the Orzo & Sauce:**

1 cup uncooked orzo pasta

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for lighter version)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Pat shrimp dry and season with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, cook shrimp over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add orzo and toast for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.

5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.

6. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Add Parmesan and stir until creamy.

7. Return shrimp to the skillet, toss gently, and heat through for 1–2 minutes.

8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with extra lemon wedges!

Notes

Use vegetable broth for a lighter version.

Add spinach or asparagus for extra color and nutrients.

Make it spicy with a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Pairs beautifully with garlic bread or a fresh garden salad.
