Description

This Delicious Sausage & Cream Cheese Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Made with savory sausage, crispy hash browns, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese, it’s the perfect easy make-ahead breakfast for busy mornings, brunch, or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage

3 cups frozen hash browns, thawed

8 oz cream cheese, softened

6 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional:

Chopped green onions

Cooked bacon bits

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease.

3. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

4. Add softened cream cheese and mix until mostly smooth (small lumps are okay).

5. Stir in cooked sausage, hash browns, and shredded cheddar cheese.

6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

7. Bake for 35–40 minutes until set and lightly golden on top.

8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

9. Garnish with green onions or bacon bits if desired.

10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Use fully thawed hash browns for even cooking.

Cut cream cheese into small cubes for easier mixing.

This casserole can be assembled ahead and refrigerated overnight.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
