Description

These oven-baked cheesy tacos are a no-fuss way to serve a taco night crowd! Crispy taco shells stuffed with seasoned beef, cheese, and toppings all come together in one hot, melty pan. Family-friendly and fast.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade)

1/3 cup water

10 stand-and-stuff taco shells

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend

1/2 cup salsa or diced tomatoes (optional)

1/2 cup shredded lettuce (for topping)

1/4 cup sour cream (for topping)

1/4 cup chopped cilantro or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

3. Add taco seasoning and water. Simmer 4–5 minutes until thickened.

4. Place taco shells upright in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

5. Fill each shell with a spoonful of beef mixture.

6. Top evenly with shredded cheese and optional salsa.

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and shells are slightly crispy.

8. Remove from oven and top with lettuce, sour cream, and fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Use stand-and-stuff shells to keep everything upright and less messy.

Swap beef for ground turkey, chicken, or black beans for a twist.

Add jalapeños or hot sauce before baking for extra heat.
