Description

This One-Pan Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken and Rice is a simple and delicious comfort meal made with juicy chicken thighs, rich garlic butter, and perfectly tender rice—cooked all in one skillet!

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 cup long grain white rice

2 1/4 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1. Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or sauté pan over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and sear for 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same pan, reduce heat and melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add uncooked rice and stir to coat in the garlic butter.

5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a simmer.

6. Nestle chicken thighs back into the pan on top of the rice. Cover and reduce heat to low.

7. Simmer for 18–22 minutes until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.

8. Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use chicken breasts if preferred—adjust cook time slightly.

Stir in spinach or peas during the last 5 minutes for added veggies.

For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine when deglazing the garlic butter.
