Description

This Decadent Lemon Lava Cake is a bright and refreshing dessert with a soft, fluffy exterior and a gooey, tangy lemon center. Bursting with citrus flavor, it’s an easy yet elegant treat perfect for dinner parties or whenever you crave a sweet and zesty indulgence.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

4 oz white chocolate, chopped

1 cup powdered sugar

2 large eggs

2 egg yolks

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

For serving:

Powdered sugar

Fresh berries

Whipped cream

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease 4 ramekins.

2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and white chocolate together, stirring until smooth.

3. Add powdered sugar and whisk until combined.

4. Whisk in eggs and egg yolks until smooth.

5. Stir in flour, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla extract, and salt.

6. Divide batter evenly among prepared ramekins.

7. Place ramekins on a baking sheet.

8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.

9. Remove from oven and let sit for 1 minute.

10. Carefully invert onto plates or serve directly in ramekins.

11. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with berries or whipped cream.

Notes

Do not overbake or the center will lose its gooey texture.

Use fresh lemon juice and zest for the best flavor.

Serve immediately for the lava effect.

You can prepare the batter ahead and refrigerate before baking.
