Description
Hot Crab Dip is the appetizer I pull out when the doorbell won’t stop ringing and the living room smells like pine and cinnamon. One whiff of that creamy, cheesy, Old Bay-kissed magic bubbling away, and everyone drifts toward the kitchen.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
8 oz lump crab meat, drained and picked through
2 tbsp chopped green onions (plus more for garnish)
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Crackers, bread, or veggies for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
2. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream until smooth.
3. Stir in mozzarella, Parmesan, Old Bay, garlic powder, cayenne, lemon juice, and green onions.
4. Fold in crab meat gently so it stays chunky.
5. Spread mixture into the prepared dish and bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
6. Garnish with extra green onions and serve warm with crackers or crusty bread.
Notes
Use lump crab meat for the best flavor and texture.
You can prepare the dip ahead and bake right before serving.
Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave for 1–2 minutes.
