Description

These honey garlic slow cooker chicken thighs are tender, juicy, and packed with sweet, savory flavor. The slow cooker does all the work, creating perfectly glazed chicken that’s great for easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1/3 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 tablespoons ketchup

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)

Sesame seeds and green onions, for serving

Instructions

1. Place chicken thighs in the bottom of the slow cooker.

2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, pepper, garlic powder, and chicken broth.

3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken thighs.

4. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender.

5. Optional: For a thicker sauce, remove chicken and pour sauce into a saucepan. Whisk in cornstarch slurry and simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.

6. Return chicken to the thickened sauce or pour sauce over the chicken.

7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Add red pepper flakes for spice.

Great for meal prep — reheats beautifully.
