Ingredients
**For the Shrimp**
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper, to taste
**For the Honey Garlic Sauce**
3 tbsp honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
**For Garnish**
Chopped green onions
Sesame seeds
Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
2. Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
4. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook another minute until glossy and caramelized.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
7. Serve immediately over rice or noodles for a quick, restaurant-quality dinner!
Notes
For a thicker glaze, simmer the sauce an extra minute before adding shrimp.
Use chicken or tofu for a fun variation.
Make it spicy by adding sriracha or more red pepper flakes.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days — they reheat beautifully in a skillet!
