Delicious homemade beefaroni made with tender pasta, seasoned ground beef, and rich tomato sauce. This easy and comforting meal is perfect for busy weeknights and family dinners.
Ingredients
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
4. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
6. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste.
7. Add Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes.
8. Add cooked macaroni to the skillet and stir to combine evenly.
9. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if using and let it melt before serving.
Notes
Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
Add a pinch of sugar if the sauce tastes too acidic.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
