These crispy homemade baked chicken tenders are juicy on the inside and golden on the outside, offering a healthier and easy alternative to fried chicken.
Ingredients
1 pound chicken tenders
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon olive oil spray
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. In one bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
4. In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
5. Dip each chicken tender into the egg mixture.
6. Coat evenly in the breadcrumb mixture.
7. Place coated tenders on the baking sheet.
8. Lightly spray with olive oil.
9. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden and cooked through.
10. Flip halfway through cooking for even crispiness.
11. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Do not overcrowd the baking sheet.
Add cayenne pepper for a spicy version.
Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce.
