Sweet, tangy, and perfectly savory, these holiday cranberry meatballs are the ultimate festive appetizer. Whether served at a party or cozy night in, they’re made with frozen meatballs and a quick homemade cranberry sauce that’s irresistibly sticky.
Ingredients
1 bag (32 oz) frozen meatballs (homestyle or beef)
1 can (14 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
1 cup barbecue sauce (any style)
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tbsp brown sugar (optional for extra sweetness)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. In a large saucepan or slow cooker, combine cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
2. Whisk together over medium heat until smooth and heated through.
3. Add frozen meatballs to the sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
4. Cover and simmer for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are heated through and coated in sticky sauce.
5. For a slow cooker version, cook on high for 2–3 hours or low for 4 hours.
6. Serve warm with toothpicks or over rice. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Use turkey or beef meatballs depending on your preference.
Great for parties, potlucks, or meal prep.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Can be made a day ahead and reheated in the slow cooker.
