Description

This Authentic Hawaiian Huli Huli Chicken is a sweet and tangy grilled favorite, marinated in a flavorful pineapple-soy sauce and caramelized to perfection. It’s juicy, smoky, and brings tropical flavors right to your table.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

4 chicken thighs or drumsticks

For the Marinade:

1/2 cup pineapple juice

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons ketchup

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

Optional:

Green onions for garnish

Grilled pineapple slices for serving

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, and ginger.

2. Place chicken in a zip bag or bowl and pour marinade over.

3. Marinate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best flavor).

4. Preheat grill to medium heat.

5. Remove chicken from marinade and place on grill.

6. Cook for 25–30 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with marinade.

7. Grill until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.

8. Garnish with green onions and serve with grilled pineapple.

Notes

Marinate overnight for deeper flavor.

Baste frequently for a sticky glaze.

Can be baked at 200°C if no grill is available.

Serve with rice for a complete meal.
