This garlic butter steak bites and shrimp recipe is the ultimate surf and turf skillet meal—fast, flavorful, and made in under 30 minutes. Tender seared steak and juicy shrimp get tossed in a rich garlic herb butter sauce. Perfect for weeknights or date nights with minimal prep and maximum flavor.
Ingredients
1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat steak bites dry and season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add steak in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and shrimp. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
5. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic to skillet. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
6. Return steak and shrimp to skillet. Add smoked paprika, parsley, and lemon juice.
7. Toss to coat in garlic butter. Serve immediately.
Notes
• Don’t overcrowd the pan—work in batches for best sear.
• Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter.
• Add red pepper flakes for heat or rosemary for extra flavor.
