Ingredients
**Brownies:**
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup brewed strong coffee (cooled)
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
**Coffee Frosting:**
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon instant coffee granules (or espresso powder)
2–3 tablespoons milk or cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat.
3. Whisk in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and coffee until smooth.
4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
5. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
6. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
7. To make frosting, beat butter, powdered sugar, cocoa, instant coffee, milk, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
8. Spread frosting over cooled brownies.
9. Chill for 20 minutes before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
Add mini chocolate chips or walnuts to the batter for extra texture.
For stronger coffee flavor, use espresso powder in both batter and frosting.
Store brownies covered in the fridge for up to 5 days.
