This Honey Sesame Chicken is crispy, sweet, and savory with a delicious sticky sauce. A quick and easy Asian-inspired dish perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tbsp oil
Salt & pepper to taste
For the sauce:
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp garlic (minced)
1 tsp sesame oil
Topping:
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Green onions (chopped)
Instructions
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch.
3. Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken until crispy and golden.
4. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil.
5. Pour sauce into the pan and toss chicken until coated.
6. Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
7. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions.
8. Serve hot with rice.
Notes
Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.
Do not overcrowd the pan for crispier chicken.
Adjust sweetness by adding less honey if preferred.
Serve immediately for best texture.
