Description

Delicious Custard Bread Pudding Recipe is an easy, creamy, and comforting dessert packed with soft custard-soaked bread, warm vanilla flavor, rich cream, and a perfectly golden baked top. This classic homemade dessert delivers cozy bakery-style flavor perfect for holidays, brunch, or family gatherings.

Ingredients

1 loaf brioche bread, cubed

4 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons melted butter

Powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with butter.

3. Spread the cubed brioche bread evenly into the baking dish.

4. Whisk eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl until smooth.

5. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes.

6. Press the bread gently into the liquid and let it soak for 15 minutes.

7. Drizzle melted butter over the top.

8. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.

9. Cool slightly before serving.

10. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

Brioche or challah bread creates the richest texture.

Allow the bread to soak fully for the creamiest pudding.

Add raisins or chocolate chips for extra flavor.

Serve with whipped cream or caramel sauce for extra indulgence.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
