Description

This crispy beef with spicy saucy noodles is the perfect quick-fix dinner with bold Asian-inspired flavors. Thin strips of crispy beef are tossed in a sweet-spicy garlic soy sauce and served over slurp-worthy noodles. It’s fast, satisfying, and better than takeout!

Ingredients

For the Beef:

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Sauce:

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp chili garlic sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp grated ginger

For the Noodles:

8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles, cooked and drained

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 green onions, sliced

Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Toss sliced beef with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until coated.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Fry beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towel.

4. In the same pan, remove excess oil, then add garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds.

5. Whisk together sauce ingredients and pour into pan. Simmer until slightly thickened.

6. Add cooked noodles and toss to coat. Drizzle with sesame oil.

7. Return crispy beef to pan and toss quickly with saucy noodles.

8. Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

• Use rice noodles for a gluten-free option.

• Adjust chili garlic sauce for more or less heat.

• Add stir-fried veggies like bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas.
