This Creamy Mushroom Chicken Pasta is a rich and comforting dinner made with tender chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and pasta tossed in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. It’s an easy homemade meal perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
2 boneless chicken breasts, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
2. Drain and set aside.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
4. Add sliced chicken and cook for about 5–6 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
5. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
6. Melt butter in the same skillet.
7. Add mushrooms and cook for about 4–5 minutes until softened.
8. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
9. Pour in heavy cream and stir well.
10. Add parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper and Italian seasoning.
11. Simmer the sauce for about 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
12. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
13. Add cooked pasta and toss everything together until well coated.
14. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker recipe.
Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best creamy texture.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
