Description

These Cranberry Brie Bites combine buttery puff pastry, creamy brie, and bright cranberry sauce for an easy, festive appetizer that bakes in about 15 minutes. Perfect for holiday parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s gatherings.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but chilled

8 oz brie cheese (rind on or off, your preference)

3/4 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce (homemade or canned)

1 tsp orange zest (optional, for brightness)

1 tsp fresh rosemary, very finely chopped (optional)

2 tbsp chopped toasted pecans or walnuts (optional)

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to drizzle)

1 large egg beaten with 1 tsp water (egg wash)

Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin or line with mini paper liners.

2. On a lightly floured surface, roll puff pastry to smooth creases. Cut into 24 even squares. Chill squares 5 minutes if they warm up.

3. Gently press each pastry square into a mini muffin cup. Add a small cube or slice of brie (about 1/2–3/4 inch) to each cup.

4. Spoon about 1 teaspoon cranberry sauce over the brie. Sprinkle orange zest and rosemary if using; add a few nuts for crunch.

5. Brush exposed pastry with egg wash. Bake 12–15 minutes, until pastry is puffed and golden and cheese is melted.

6. Cool 5 minutes. Drizzle lightly with honey and add flaky salt if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Keep brie cold for clean cuts. Chill assembled bites 10 minutes before baking for maximum puff. Don’t overfill; about 1 teaspoon cranberry per bite is perfect. Drizzle honey after baking for a glossy finish.
