Description

These Delicious Crab Crunchies are crispy, golden, and full of flavor! Tender crab meat mixed with herbs, breadcrumbs, and a light coating for the perfect bite-sized seafood treat — easy to make and always crowd-pleasing!

Ingredients

**For the Crab Mixture**

8 oz crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)

1 egg, beaten

¼ cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped

1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or to taste)

½ tsp garlic powder

½ cup breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)

Salt & pepper, to taste

**For Frying**

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, egg, mayonnaise, green onions, mustard, Old Bay, garlic powder, ½ cup breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.

2. Mix until just combined — the mixture should hold together but not be too wet.

3. Shape into small bite-sized balls or patties (about 1 inch in diameter).

4. Set up a dredging station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

5. Dip each crab ball first in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, coating evenly.

6. Heat ½ inch of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.

7. Fry crab crunchies in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.

8. Remove and drain on paper towels.

9. Serve warm with tartar sauce, aioli, or spicy sriracha mayo — crunchy perfection!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire or lemon juice to the crab mixture.

You can bake them instead: 400°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.

Perfect for parties, game days, or seafood platters!

Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an air fryer to keep crispy.
