Description

Chicken Gloria Casserole is rich, creamy, and pure comfort food. Tender chicken breasts are layered with sautéed mushrooms, smothered in a creamy sauce, and baked with melty cheese for an easy, cozy dinner that feels classic and indulgent.

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 cup mushrooms, sliced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese

Optional garnish:

Fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.

2. Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.

4. Transfer chicken to the prepared baking dish.

5. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until tender.

6. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

7. Spread mushrooms over the chicken.

8. Pour the creamy sauce evenly on top.

9. Sprinkle shredded cheese over everything.

10. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.

11. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

• Swiss cheese gives a classic flavor, mozzarella makes it extra gooey.

• Serve with rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.

• Leftovers reheat beautifully.
