Description

These brownie crinkle cookies combine the chewy richness of brownies with the crackly tops of classic crinkle cookies. With fudgy centers, shiny tops, and deep chocolate flavor, they’re the perfect easy homemade treat for chocolate lovers!

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth. Cool slightly.

3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).

4. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture until fully incorporated.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a thick, glossy dough forms.

7. Let dough rest for 10–15 minutes (it will thicken slightly).

8. Scoop into 1.5 tbsp balls and place on baking sheets. Optionally, roll in powdered sugar for a crinkle effect.

9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the tops are cracked and glossy. Centers should still be soft.

10. Cool on pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.

Notes

• Use dark chocolate chips for a richer flavor.

• Chill dough for 30 minutes for puffier cookies.

• Great for gifting—store in airtight container up to 5 days.
