Ingredients
1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-size florets
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk (or plant-based milk)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
Nonstick cooking spray
Bang Bang Sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter version)
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to heat preference)
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon lime juice
Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
4. Arrange coated florets in a single layer on the baking sheet.
5. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
6. While cauliflower bakes, whisk together all bang bang sauce ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
7. Once baked, toss crispy cauliflower in the bang bang sauce until evenly coated or drizzle on top before serving.
8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately!
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes after baking.
Use an air fryer: cook at 375°F for 12–14 minutes, shaking halfway.
The bang bang sauce can also be used as a dip for shrimp, tofu, or chicken.
Serve over rice or noodles for a delicious vegetarian meal option.
