This quick & easy ground turkey bang bang rice recipe is creamy, spicy, sweet, and ready in just 20 minutes! With juicy ground turkey, fluffy rice, and a homemade bang bang sauce, it’s a protein-packed one-pan wonder that’s perfect for weeknights or meal prep.
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
2 cups cooked jasmine or white rice
2 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 green onions, chopped
Salt & pepper, to taste
For Bang Bang Sauce:
1/3 cup mayo (or Greek yogurt)
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
1 tsp honey or maple syrup
1 tsp rice vinegar
Water to thin, if needed
Optional Toppings:
Chopped cilantro
Toasted sesame seeds
More green onions
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together all bang bang sauce ingredients until smooth. Set aside.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned and cooked through (6–7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
4. Stir in cooked rice and green onions. Mix well and heat through.
5. Remove from heat and drizzle with bang bang sauce, or stir it in to coat evenly.
6. Top with sesame seeds, cilantro, and extra sauce if desired.
7. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
• Use cauliflower rice for a low-carb version.
• Swap turkey for ground chicken or tofu for a variation.
• Sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
